The Department of Computer Science aspires to provide an academic program that meets global standards in the field of computer science, which helps to prepare qualified and trained national personnel.

Mission

The department works on preparing qualified, efficient, and experienced national generation to meet the needs and requirements of the labor market in the field of computer science. This outcome is achieved by providing modern knowledge, advanced skills, positive values and attitudes towards work. The department also aims to develop, educate, and serve individuals as well as private and public entities in all scientific, social, and economic fields.

Goals

- Preparing and qualifying specialists to meet the requirements of the labor market in both public and private sectors in computer science by offering a diversity of teaching and learning methods in addition to training students to apply the knowledge and skills they acquire to solve real-life problems.
- Offering excellent academic programs in the field of computer science, both theoretical and practical, that conform to academic quality standards and meet the needs of the labor market.
- Encouraging and promoting research in the field of computer science in general.

About

The Department of Software Engineering is one of the important and complementary departments in the Faculty of Information Technology. It was established to achieve the educational and professional policies of the Faculty. The department seeks to develop high-quality software solutions in various information fields.
In this department, students learn about several information fields and learn to apply these skills, techniques, and modern software engineering tools until they are able to make decisions in various projects.

Mission

The Department of Internet Systems aspires to instill the following skills in all graduates:
- Good knowledge of programming languages and algorithms in general and specifically those that support the design and development of web pages.

General Department


About

The department aims at providing a remarkable environment that motivates research and education and that is noticeably distinctive with its educational programs, research, and curricula.

Mission

The department seeks to achieve distinctiveness through training specialized personnel in general courses that are actually related to all the other departments in the faculty.

Goals

1 Training new students and preparing them to join scientific departments in the faculty through courses from the general department and providing them with the required courses they need to join each scientific department.
2 Providing outstanding academic programs in the general field in both its theoretical and practical branches, according to the highest standards of quality control aiming at covering the needs of the specialized scientific departments in the faculty.
3 Helping students adapt to the change from secondary school to university system and clarifying the rights and duties of university students.
4 Conducting workshops and activities such as educational, awareness-raising, and sport activities, in order to build trust between students and teachers and create a sense of belonging to the faculty for students.
