The Office of Studies and Examinations is responsible for the following:
1. Coordinating between academic departments in developing study schedules and providing faculty members with shared courses.
2. Processing transfer requests between departments and student transfers to and from the college, in coordination with the relevant departments and the college registrar.
3. Preparing lists of students eligible to sit for exams, determining their seating numbers, and the subjects in which they are eligible to take the exam.
4. Issuing exam cards and delivering them to students.
5. Organizing study schedules, classroom schedules, and periodic and final exams.
6. Following up on academic matters, classroom schedules, and periodic and final exams.
7. Distributing supervisors for periodic and final exams, in coordination with academic departments.
8. Notifying the relevant authorities of exam results.
9. Preparing reports on the progress of the educational process and exams and presenting them to the College Council.
To be a distinguished model in managing academic processes and assessment systems, supporting the achievement of quality standards and academic accreditation, and keeping pace with best practices in higher education.
The Department of Studies and Examinations is committed to organizing and enhancing all academic processes related to course scheduling, examinations, and academic evaluation. The department aims to ensure a disciplined, fair, and transparent learning environment that supports the faculty’s mission of delivering high-quality educational programs and graduating competent professionals capable of meeting labor market demands. This is achieved through the use of effective systems, continuous capacity building of staff, adherence to quality standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Based on the college's vision and mission, and in order to raise the level of academic and administrative performance, the Studies and Examinations Department seeks to achieve following goals:
Goal 1: Improve the Quality of Academic Planning and Organization, through the following:
1. Prepare accurate and well-organized course schedules that promote academic stability and satisfaction among students and faculty members.
2. Develop smart, integrated systems for course registration and academic performance tracking.
3. Contribute to the revision and development of study plans in coordination with academic departments to align with learning outcomes and market needs.
Goal 2: Develop the Examination and Academic Assessment System, through the following:
1. Ensure the integrity and transparency of examinations through clear procedures and standardized practices.
2. Implement diverse assessment methods that support targeted learning outcomes and academic fairness.
3. Establish comprehensive databases of results and analytical reports to support decision-making and performance improvement.
Goal 3: Support Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Efforts, through the following:
1. Provide required documentation, reports, and statistics for institutional and program-level accreditation.
2. Participate in self-assessment processes by delivering accurate data and performance indicators.
3. Apply recognized standards in managing academic and assessment-related files according to quality requirements.
Goal 4: Develop Staff Competencies within the Department, through the following:
1. Train administrative staff on the use of modern technologies and data/examination management systems.
2. Promote a culture of institutional work, teamwork, and efficient task distribution within the department.
3. Engage staff in continuous professional development programs to improve performance and ensure high-quality academic services.
